JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Oil and Gas / Power Plant Mechanical Technician – Mid-Level to join our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems used in the oil and gas industry. You will support both offshore and onshore operations, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, engines, and other machinery. As a mid-level technician, you will work independently or with minimal supervision, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the smooth running of operations, while adhering to safety and industry standards.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Any additional certifications related to the oil and gas industry (e.g., mechanical systems certifications, offshore safety) are a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance and operations, with specific experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, engines, valves, and turbines.
• Familiarity with condition monitoring equipment, diagnostic tools, and performance analysis methods.

SKILLS:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex mechanical systems in oil and gas operations.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare clear and detailed reports.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and flexibility to handle various tasks.
