MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN – LABORATORY TESTING

Starting Salary: £27,500 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a wide range of mechanical and materials testing procedures, including High Cycle Fatigue, Strain Controlled Low Cycle Fatigue, Fracture Toughness, Crack Propagation, Creep and Stress Rupture, and Tensile Testing.
  • Perform chemical, corrosion, and metallurgical testing using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment.
  • Work as part of a skilled and supportive team, delivering accurate results to a global customer base.
  • Follow strict safety procedures while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
  • Begin with basic test work before progressing to more complex testing as your skills and experience grow.

About You

  • Previous laboratory or testing experience is advantageous but not essential – full training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and safety practices would be beneficial.
