JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a Mechanical Technologist to join our team in building a world-class medical robot. You are someone who loves to play with their tools and has a passion for the field of robotics. When it comes to attention to details, you are able to find that needle in a haystack to ensure the highest quality of our product during assembly and testing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or degree related to the filed of mechanical technician, engineering, automotive, etc.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in robotics, automotive, manufacturing assembly or related fields.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of tools (both manual and power) and understanding their safety guidelines.
  • Solid understanding of electronic components and their integration into mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passionate about robotics and continuous learning.
    Job Type: Part-Time / Casual
    Hourly: $18-30/hr

Schedule:

  • Flexible - On-Call
  • Ideally 4hrs/day

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot robotic systems using detailed assembly instructions and schematics.
  • Handle sensitive electronic components with care, ensuring they are properly integrated into robotic assemblies.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to improve assembly processes and provide feedback on design improvements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety protocols are consistently followed.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in robotics, tools, and assembly techniques.
  • Train junior staff on assembly techniques and tool usage as needed.
  • Document assembly processes, challenges, and solutions for future reference.
