What You’ll Do
- As part of the Energy group, you will be reporting to Engineers and Project Managers to deliver a broad range of design and inspection tasks related to district energy projects.
- Design hot water piping systems and district energy plants to relevant design codes, under the supervision of an engineer;
- Perform 3D modelling and drafting of above-ground and underground piping systems using AutoCAD and REVIT to established company standards.
- Become familiar with fundamentals of pipe stress analysis and hydraulic analysis, including learning relevant specialized software.
- Contribute to updating standard drafting details, templates and methodologies.
- Help with coordination of project tasks, under the direction of a Project Manager;
- Coordination with technologists and engineers from other disciplines within the company to accomplish integrated designs.
- Perform occasional site visits to review site conditions prior to design work, and to perform field reviews during and after construction.
What You’ll Bring
- A positive and motivated personality!
- Technologist Diploma in a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit, specifically in 3D modelling of mechanical and piping systems.
- Process Design knowledge is an asset.
- Familiarity with design codes, especially ASME B31 and CSA B51 and CSA B52 is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment
- A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within your role
- A valid driver’s license (in good standing) is mandatory
- Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain.

Wage Range
- $60,000-$72,000, wage dependent on years of experience
