We are currently seeking a candidate who is qualified for the role of Mechanical Technologist. The role of Mechanical Technologist reports to the Production Supervisor. Liburdi Turbine Services offers competitive wages The hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Assembly of products using standard shop procedures, mechanical drawings, and other written or verbal instructions
  • Assemble and test precision high-reliability electro-mechanical products and prototypes
  • Accountable for mechanical portions of system or tooling assemblies
  • Participates in the commissioning of completed assemblies
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Able and willing to travel internationally on occasion to assist in assembly and system start-up

Key Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Skilled in the assembly of complex mechanical assemblies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong multi-tasker
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience and certification an asset
  • Experience in Microsoft applications, computer software and hardware

Key Experience/Education:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical assembly is preferred
  • Mechanical Technologist diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Millwright & Machinist education & practical background is an asset
  • A mechanical aptitude with the ability to read mechanical drawings and bills of materials is required
