Responsibilities Design Stamping stage die & progressive tooling by CAD software independently. Define tooling specification and initial tool design before RFQ. Provide the suggestion to the Mechanical Designer to de-risk from a tooling perspective before the tooling kick-off. Review DFM to identify potential risks related to cosmetic, assembly, dimensional, and molding issues with vendors. Resolve tooling issues to minimize design changes and moderate the impact on the schedule. Build up lessons learnt and mold a trial database for the project development of the new generation. Drive new technologies of tooling and molding to optimize our projects. Provide the assessment of each tooling vendor quarterly. Familiar with the characteristics of sheet metal materials and assist in material selection. Prepare and submit the golden sample approval process Requirement College degree or above Minimum 10 years of tooling fabrication, fitter, EDM, wire-cutting, Assembly, and in-house manufacturing. 5 years of tooling design by using CAD software independently. Proficient knowledge of trial runs on processing parameters and fine-tuning. Familiar with characteristics of stamping machines and strong tool trial skills, need to identify the issues and set up the tool trial parameters to provide the solutions online. Excellent communication skills among cross-functional teams to enhance work efficiency.
