Position Overview The Mechanical (HVAC) Trade Instructor is responsible for developing and delivering mechanical and HVAC training that prepares employees for safe, efficient, and code-compliant work in the field. This role facilitates classroom instruction, hands-on lab training, and on-the-job learning aligned with company standards, safety requirements, and real job-site conditions. This position plays a key role in workforce development by strengthening technical knowledge, reinforcing safety practices, and supporting consistency across mechanical operations. The Mechanical Trade Instructor works closely with Training leadership, Safety, and Operations to support company training initiatives. Requirements Must-Have Qualifications HVAC or Mechanical certification or license (as applicable) Minimum 5+ years of field experience in commercial or industrial mechanical/HVAC work Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, codes, and safety requirements Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and system operation Desirable Skills & Experience Teaching, mentoring, or training experience Computer skills (email, LMS platforms, presentations) Ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously Strong initiative and organizational skills Effective communication and collaboration skills Experience supporting apprentices or junior technicians
