Description

Imagine this – You’re standing on the edge of a runway, watching one of the fastest autonomous aircraft ever built ignite into action. The system powering its flight? Something you helped design, integrate, and bring to life. At Destinus, we’re not just engineering machines – we’re crafting the future of hypersonic defense and autonomous systems. As a Mechatronic Engineer, you’ll be at the core of that transformation, shaping intelligent machines that respond with precision, speed, and sheer ingenuity.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Experience in system integration – combining mechanics, electronics, and control
Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and embedded software
Comfort using CAD tools (like SolidWorks or CATIA), and system simulation tools (like MATLAB/Simulink)
Solid understanding of system dynamics, kinematics, and electromechanical interfaces
Experience with RC flights
Bonus if you’ve worked with drones, robots, aerospace platforms, or in defense environments
Willingness to travel and get hands-on in test environments – lab, field, or hangar.
English is a must, is our working language.

Responsibilities
  • Design and integrate mechatronic systems that form the intelligent backbone of our UAVs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, electronics) to develop prototypes and iterate fast
  • Define and implement testing protocols for actuators, sensors, and control systems
  • Develop technical documentation that helps scale our systems from lab bench to flight-ready
  • Tackle real-time challenges during system validation and flight campaigns across Europe
  • Travel to test sites and partner facilities to ensure seamless integration and performance
  • Push the limits of speed and autonomy by bringing new ideas and improvements to the table, always
