Description Position Summary The Mechatronics Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated control systems across the Green Sustainable Solutions (GSS) manufacturing plant. This role ensures that all PLC, robotics, and electrical systems operate efficiently and reliably to support production goals and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Design, program, and maintain PLC systems including Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP, Allen-Bradley CompactLogix (L33ER), and Micro-820 controllers. Troubleshoot robotic systems include Premier Tech Stacking, Bagging, and Belt Control systems. Develop and implement electrical schematics, HMI interfaces, and control network diagrams. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize automation performance. Manage and maintain PLC backups, software versioning, and documentation. Support installation and startup of new automation equipment or process improvements. Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and corporate safety and electrical standards. Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations teams. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in industrial controls, robotics, or mechatronics in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, and HMI development tools. Strong knowledge of industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, Profinet). Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced production environment.
