Description

Job Title: Mechatronics Engineer
Location: Hybrid – Remote and onsite in Charlotte (CLT) and Hickory, NC areas

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This is a hybrid position. Most work can be performed remotely, with occasional travel to plant and vendor sites as needed. Travel may range from one-day trips to up to one week at a time.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on automation/control systems
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Expertise in designing and implementing mechatronic systems
  • Hands-on experience with automation technologies: PLC, HMI, SCADA
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)
  • Solid understanding of feedback control systems (e.g., PID control)
  • Sensor integration and data acquisition
  • Manufacturing electrical system design and troubleshooting
  • Experience with vision systems and image processing
  • Embedded systems and microcontroller programming
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication of technical concepts across disciplines
  • Knowledge of automation safety protocols and industry standards
