PROJECT DESCRIPTION

An Automotive Mechatronics Technician is responsible for equipping test vehicles with advanced sensor and control systems. This includes installing and calibrating radar, camera, and ultrasonic sensors, as well as the related Electronic Control Units (ECUs). Additionally, the technician will integrate measurement technology and ensure that ECUs are flashed with the appropriate software versions in vehicles with combustion and electric engines.

SKILLS

Must have
Education: Completed Training as Automotive Mechatronics Technician or a Batchelor degree in Vehicle Technology, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in automotive electronics or a similar role.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive electronics, sensor technology, and ECU systems.
Proven Hands-On Experience in:
Installing and calibrating radar, camera, and ultrasonic sensors in vehicles.
Usage of measurement equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
Soldering techniques.
Prototype driving license (Level 1)
Language: German (proficient), English (proficient)
Nice to have
Software Proficiency: Ability to flash ECUs with appropriate software and perform updates as necessary.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues with sensor and ECU systems.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to installation and calibration to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Documentation Skills: Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers, testers, and other team members.
Valid certification to work on battery electric vehicles (Level 2E)

Responsibilities

Sensor Installation: Equip test vehicles with radar, camera, and ultrasonic sensors, ensuring precise placement and calibration for optimal performance.
ECU Integration: Install and configure related ECUs, ensuring seamless communication between sensors and vehicle systems.
Wiring Harness: Build and integrate wiring harness to the vehicle to connect all system components.
Measurement Technology: Equip vehicles with measurement technology to collect and analyze data during tests.
Software Flashing: Flash ECUs with the appropriate software versions to ensure they are up to date and capable of performing required functions.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance on installed systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of installations, configurations, and software versions for reference and compliance.
