Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Windows System Administrator to join a Federal Program in Falls Church, VA.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE WINDOWS SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR INCLUDE:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Windows Workstation/Server Administrator utilizing SCCM/MECM/Intune.
  • Must have CompTIA Security+CE certification.
  • Must have one of the following certifications:


    • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

    • CompTIA Linux+
    • Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
    • Proficient in PowerShell scripting and Windows system installation, configuration, and administration.
    • Skilled in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and developing innovative solutions to improve IT processes and user experience.
    • Experienced in analyzing complex technical data and operating effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service and collaboration with senior leadership.
    • Demonstrated leadership, reliability, and initiative, including project management, mentoring, and delivering knowledge-based training.
    • Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance.
    Responsibilities
    • Provide engineering and Tier III support for MECM environments (NIPR/SIPR), including imaging, patching, and software deployment across 140k+ endpoints.
    • Manage workstation and server imaging using MECM and Intune.
    • Apply and maintain Microsoft and third-party patches, hotfixes, and STIGs for compliance.
    • Maintain and update baseline configurations for user workstations and operating systems.
    • Monitor and remediate MECM client health issues.
    • Troubleshoot complex hardware and software problems across systems.
    • Develop and deliver user training materials for hardware and software usage.
    • Plan and execute software installations, OS upgrades, and in-place upgrades for servers and laptops.
    • Conduct system performance tuning and compliance audits for hardware/software.
    • Support asset inventory reporting and mentor junior staff as needed.
