Leidos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Systems Administrator supporting Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM, Formerly SCCM). This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS + 3 years or AA/AS + 7 years or a major cert + 7 years or 11 years of recent specialized experience.
  • 6+ years experience administering Windows 2012+ servers
  • 4+ years experience administering any System Center product
  • 2+ years experience scripting with Windows PowerShell
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Extensive experience with major Microsoft technologies including PC and Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Office
  • Experience with ITIL Foundations, Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Request Management
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate MCSA (Server 2012 or later).
  • DOD 8570 IAT 2 compliance (CompTIA Security+, equivalent or higher).
  • TESA eligibility.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ITIL v3 - Foundation
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Experience with imaging Windows systems using MDT/WDS/MECM.
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs.
  • Experience working in VmWare ESXi environments.
  • Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards.
Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of difficult assignments associated with monitoring and controlling computer operating systems.
  • Supervise and manage the daily operation of business systems.
  • Support the planning of system/environment requirements for individual projects.
  • Administer systems/environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules.
  • Setup and maintain Windows systems. Initiate preventive maintenance, analyze system faults and troubleshoot and run diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems.
  • Perform administrative tasks on all System Center products, to include MECM, Orchestrator (SCO), and Operations Manager (SCOM)
  • Support new and ongoing projects by providing insight into the requirements, capabilities, and limitations of System Center products.
  • Maintain existing and develop new Orchestrator runbooks and PowerShell scripts.
  • Optimize system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Review and prepare documentation for systems, tests and installation of software.
  • Work with fellow administrators to leverage various system capabilities to improve the overall enterprise environment.
  • Investigate and recommend methods and techniques for improving operations performance and resolving system issues.
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.
  • Work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.
  • Support systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows 10 Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications.
  • Perform Windows system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory infrastructure in a mixed Windows environment.
  • Provide journeyman level knowledge and Tier 0/1 support to the customer and their components to include Tier 0/1 infrastructure troubleshooting and support that involves the configuration and administration of servers in their area of operation.
  • Provide remote support and/or travel to customer servers and sites as required.
