The Position MECOP 2026 Spring/Summer Intern - Manufacturing Department Summary This MECOP internship position is in the Manufacturing department at Hillsboro Innovative Therapies (HIT). In this position, you will need to work effectively with the Manufacturing team and collaborate with other departments to ensure successful implementation of operational process improvements at the site. This internship position is located in Hillsboro, Oregon and is on-site at the Hillsboro Innovative Therapies (HIT) facility. The Opportunity Participate in the identification, evaluation, and implementation of new process technologies in alignment with business objectives or regulatory requirements On a regular basis analyze processes, make suggestions for improvement to management, and provide input to improving systems/processes. Foster an environment that encourages continuous learning. Maintain expertise as necessary to stay abreast of technical and industry advancements. Demonstrated capability of applying a broad scope of regulatory policies, guidelines, and requirements applicable to assigned areas and suggesting improvements. Represents group on cross functional teams or projects of limited scope Program Highlights Intensive 6 months, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in March (Spring). A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects. Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry. Who You Are (Required) Required Education: You meet the following criteria: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student). Required Majors: Industrial Engineering Required Skills: Basic knowledge in industrial engineering fundamentals. Real-world problem solving experience. Professional level written and oral communication skills. Demonstrate ability to provide technical input and teamwork in a cGMP environment across functional and organizational boundaries. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., Excel, SAS/JMP) is a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Oregon is $27.00 - $28.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
