The Position MECOP 2026 Spring/Summer Intern - Product Sciences, MSAT Department Summary This position is in the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) department in Hillsboro. In this position, you will need to work effectively as part of a team responsible for advancing our CAR-T and HESC process development and require expertise in cell culture and strong data management skills. This internship position is located in Hillsboro, Oregon, on-site. The Opportunity As an MSAT intern, your responsibilities will include: Supporting MSAT team members with technical and operational activities related to cell and gene therapy manufacturing. Assisting with data review, basic analysis, and organization to support process understanding and reporting. Helping with the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation such as reports, presentations, and controlled documents. Participating in team meetings, project discussions, and manufacturing floor observations. Collaborating with cross-functional partners including Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering. Completing an assigned intern project and presenting outcomes at the end of the internship. Program Highlights Intensive 6 months, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in March (Spring). A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects. Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry. Who You Are (Required) Required Education: You meet the following criteria: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student). ​ Required Majors: Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related discipline. Required Skills: Interest in biopharmaceutical, cell therapy, or gene therapy manufacturing. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a regulated environment. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Good communication and teamwork skills. ​ Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications Coursework or exposure to cell biology, molecular biology, or bioprocessing. Exposure to GMP or regulated environments. Prior internship, lab, or manufacturing experience (academic or industry). Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Oregon is $27.00-$28.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
