Description The Worker's Compensation Historian is responsible for obtaining a complete historical and comprehensive narrative of the examinees work related injury, treatment and present complaints. Duties and Responsibilities: Must have experience with Med-Legal Worker's Compensation reporting Must have thorough understanding of AMC Guides 5th edition and Labor codes 4663 & 4664 Excellent reading, comprehension, writing and grammar skills Must be well versed with anatomic and medical terminology Strong organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and ability to handle multiple task Must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and high standard of ethics. Must possess high attention to detail Excellent interviewing and social skills Requirements Qualifications: 1 to 2 years' work experience in Workers Compensation cases Experience in Orthopedics and Pain Management preferred Dependable and organized Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow up on assignments Self-starter, proactive and works well with little supervision Excellent analytical skills, likes to be accurate and attention to detail Intermediate or higher skill level in WordPerfect and/or Word office Associates degree or higher Bilingual is a plus, not essential
