Media Designer (m/f/d) Digital and Print / Calligrapher (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

Do you have an eye for aesthetics and appreciate the combination of modern design and traditional craftsmanship? Then become part of our protocol team and use your printing and craftsmanship skills to make a lasting impression at high-level events of the Federal Government!

  • They design computer-aided drawings, visualize complex flight routes, and create precise flowcharts that serve as the basis for diplomatic procedures.
  • Together as a team, you will create stylish and representative designs for invitations, menus and greeting cards.
  • With attention to detail and skilled craftsmanship, you will take on the calligraphy of place cards, insert cards and invitation cards, giving them a personal, exclusive touch.
  • They are proficient in MS Office and are learning to use specialized IT applications.
  • From selecting the appropriate paper quality and determining the optimal printing process to professional order placement and invoice processing, you control the entire creation process of your designs.

Your profile (required)

  • Completed vocational training as a media designer for digital and print media (or previous job title)

OR

  • State-certified graphic designer ( DQR 4 (https://www.dqr.de/dqr/de/home/home_node.html) )

(Applicants without relevant vocational training as a media designer for digital and print media or recognition as other employees will be classified in pay group 8 TVöD Bund until the requirements are met.)

  • preferably with proven at least one year of professional experience in the trained occupation after completion of the respective training
  • Proven mastery of a representative, calligraphic script in genuine handwriting (submission of a writing sample and, if applicable, a specialist test)
  • Proficient use of common graphics software (e.g. CorelDraw, Adobe Creative Cloud / InDesign / Illustrator) and sound knowledge of MS Office (especially Word and Excel)
  • German citizenship or citizenship of a member state of the EU (https://europa.eu/european-union/about-eu/countries_de) or EFTA (https://www.destatis.de/Europa/DE/Staat/EFTA-Staaten/_inhalt.html)
