The primary purpose of hiring an Ad Operations Specialist is to ensure the efficient and effective management of advertising campaigns. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and performance of ad accounts, integrating new vendors, and managing ad systems and generate platform pixels. This role is crucial for streamlining processes related to ad account governance and hygiene, reducing errors, and enhancing campaign performance. Additionally, the role facilitates seamless vendor integration, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance within the advertising ecosystem. The roles’ technical proficiency in handling ad systems, including pixel generation, is vital for running any advertising activity so as accurate tracking and measurement of campaign success, making them an indispensable asset to any advertising team. Responsibilities 1. Ad Account Governance: • Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures for ad account management. • Monitoring ad account performance and compliance with industry standards. • Conducting regular audits to ensure account integrity and security. 2. Ad Account Hygiene: • Regularly cleaning and organizing ad accounts to remove outdated or irrelevant data. • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained within ad accounts. • Implementing best practices for data management and reporting. 3. New Vendors Plug-In: • Evaluating and onboarding new advertising vendors. • Ensuring new vendors are integrated smoothly into existing systems. • Managing relationships with vendors to optimize performance and resolve any issues. 4. Ad Systems Pixels Generation: • Creating tracking pixels from ad platforms Qualifications Advertising Platforms Knowledge, eg. Google Ads, DV360, Campaign Manager (CM360) Meta Business Manager, Amazon Ads, etc. DSPs (e.g.The Trade Desk) Ad verification eg. Double Verify Tag Management Understanding of ad tags Troubleshooting & QA Ability to identify and resolve ad delivery issues Analytics & Reporting, eg. Google Analytics Comfortable generating campaign reports Understanding of ad account migration process Understanding of ad account hygiene and security Attention to Detail Project Management Tools, eg. Monday.com Mandatory skills: Advertising platforms knowledge Account migraton and governance knowledge Proficient in English Differentiating competencies required: Flexible and responsive approach, prepared to discover new solutions to new challenges as they arise and remain tenacious in achieving the required result. Ready to react to last minute requests/ changes from stakeholders across the business Excellent communication skills - engage and influence multiple stakeholders to build strong working relationships and take others with you.
