Job Description The MOC (Media Operations Content Technician) will perform a variety of operational and technical functions in support of Miami News & Broadcast Operations for NBC and Telemundo Platforms for local media operations. These responsibilities will encompass Live signal and stream acquisition (LiveU, Dejero & satellite), Quality Control and Standards Practices, media prep, content acquisition and short form deadline. Monitor inbound and outbound video/audio levels and Closed Captioning. Operate Satellite Antenna Controllers, HD/SDI IRD’s, RF routers, Troll Microwave acquisition systems, and Studio/Remote Cameras. Ingest & QC content. Operate and Manage media in Dalet Galaxy NRCS. Qualifications The individual must have a minimum of 2 years broadcast experience. Must be able to multitask and work in a group environment serving two or more broadcast platforms simultaneously. The ability to adapt and become proficient with constantly changing broadcast technology Must have a flexible schedule with ability to work any of a 24x7 shift and willingness to travel and work long hours and on weekends and holidays with short notice. Must be willing to work in high-risk emergency situations including hurricanes. Eligibility Requirements: Flexible schedule to cover various shifts as needed A punctual, hardworking, disciplined and dependable individual Willing to work at the station in Miramar location Must be willing to submit to a background investigation Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License Must be 18 years or older Computer skills including proficiency in Dalet (or other electronic newsroom system) Microsoft Outlook and Basic knowledge of Excel Desired: Knowledge of television production techniques and operating production equipment Displays a positive work ethic and can work under tight deadlines High degree of integrity and professionalism Robust interpersonal skills for a diverse and energetic newsroom Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Ability to work well and communicate with others Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a broadcast technical school Knowledge of satellite acquisition including digital and analog receivers Knowledge of Cellular Bonding technology (LiveU, Dejero) Experience in HD camera video set up and shading Experience in a fast paced, quick turn and/or live broadcast environment Experience in Dalet NRCS software a major plus Bilingual Spanish/English preferred Additional Information As part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with an NBCUniversal employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision.
