Description

HI, WE’RE APPFOLIO

We’re innovators, changemakers, and collaborators. We’re more than just a software company – we’re pioneers in cloud and AI who deliver magical experiences that make our customers’ lives easier. We’re revolutionizing how people do business in the real estate industry, and we want your ideas, enthusiasm, and passion to help us keep innovating.
As the Media Producer, you’ll partner with the Media Studio to oversee all video production at AppFolio, from pre-production to delivery. Your work will be showcased on large-scale event screens, sponsorship placements, and key industry conferences, ensuring AppFolio’s brand is visually dynamic and impactful. In this role, you will deliver high-quality and original media, including video editing to be distributed via various marketing and communication channels. Additionally, you will focus heavily on managing studio and location shoots, editing, and ensuring the production process is seamless and efficient. You’ll craft data-driven, human-centered stories while maintaining the highest production standards.
This is an in-person role based in Goleta, CA, and it requires strong technical expertise, creative vision, and the ability to collaborate across teams. Travel is required for location shoots.

  • 5 or more years of video production experience, with a proven track record of managing projects from pre-production to final delivery.
  • 5 or more years of experience in on-site location shoots and studio production, with expertise in sound, lighting, and camera operation.
  • Experience with multi-camera setups, live production, or high-end equipment is valued.
  • Strong editing skills (preferably in Adobe Premiere Pro) are required, as well as basic knowledge of motion graphics (preferably After Effects).
  • Proficient in cinema cameras, particularly Blackmagic (URSA, Pocket Cinema) with expertise in RAW/log workflows, sensor types, lens selection, and color grading for cinematic video production.
  • Excellent storytelling and interview skills, focusing on human-first, data-driven content.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple production schedules and meet deadlines on time and within budget.
  • Travel for shoots is required.
