Job Details Job Location: Customer Connection Center - Cincinnati, OH Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: Undisclosed Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Day Description This position is designed to organize and conduct public outreach activities to raise awareness and educate uninsured parents, children, and pregnant women about the Ohio Medicaid program. The Medicaid Enrollment Specialist will provide one-on-one assistance to enroll Ohio Medicaid consumers, including application completion, uploading verification documents, complying with follow-up requests, informing customers of next steps, and following protocols to keep consumers informed throughout the enrollment process. The MES will also assist with the Ohio Medicaid renewal process. The MES will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, advocates, school districts, libraries, and partner agencies, as determined by the Freestore Foodbank that may be helpful in identifying prospective consumers or may provide the opportunity and venue to do outreach. It will be necessary to maintain expertise in Ohio Medicaid policy, enrollment, and regulations. The MES will als provide information and services in a manner that is culturally and linguistically appropriate and ensure accessibility for consumers with disabilities. Additional responsibilities include: Collect consent for the collection, storage, and use of personally identifiable information (PII) for consumers as required by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of program activities and deliverables using the designated consumer data tracking tools provided by Freestore Foodbank. Perform follow-up on the individual's eligibility as necessary. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to agreements and standards. Travel to multiple sites in CKC service area. Refer clients to other resources as needed, including referrals to Navigators for Marketplace health insurance and SNAP Outreach department for food assistance benefits. Attend all trainings and perform other duties and assigned by Dir. of Public Benefits Programs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services plus experience assisting underserved populations or three years of directly related experience in the Social Services field. 3-5 years of experience providing intake and basic clientele assessments; provide direction and resources. Must be able to work effectively with community-based organizations and diverse constituencies. Ability to deal with problems involving complex variables in standardized and non-standardized situations, think critically. Good mathematical, organizational, verbal and written communication, time management and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with a diverse population. Working knowledge of the Hamilton County and surrounding areas. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in all Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel), as well as other database systems.
