SUPERVISOR: Medicaid Program Coordinator SUMMARY: Manage and monitor budgets, documentation, and databases to ensure compliance with and effective administration of the Cherry Creek School District’s participation in the Colorado Medicaid School Health Services (SHS) program. Complete quarterly and annual SHS financial reports for the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF). Support annual SHS program audits. Evaluate, maintain and adjust systems in compliance with CCSD fiscal policies. Collaborate with internal Office of Student Health and Medicaid partners, including Special Populations, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Procurement and school-based staff. Communicate policies and procedures to CCSD and Medicaid office staff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following tasks describe the basic functions of the job. The following frequencies and percentage of time spent are approximations only. Manage, monitor and reconcile the district’s Medicaid budgets to ensure compliance with district fiscal policies, the Medicaid SHS Local Services (LSP) Plan and Colorado Medicaid SHS reporting requirements. Develop and adjust financial reports and processes to meet evolving financial and Medicaid SHS systems. [Daily, 30%] Communicate Medicaid financial policies and procedures to Special Service providers throughout CCSD. Assist Medicaid office employees with various aspects of Medicaid grant accounting functions. Provide instructions, clarification and general business support. Train and delegate to support staff. [Daily, 10%] Evaluate, process or delegate contracts, invoices and expense reports as needed to support Medicaid purchasing and expenditure systems. [Daily, 5%] Analyze expenditure trends for LSP compliance. Monitor and adjust budget distribution. Analyze and correct financial system errors and anomalies. [Weekly, 10%] Evaluate and maintain financial documentation and Medicaid office databases to ensure compliance with HCPF regulations. [Weekly, 10%] Collect and analyze data for the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) mandated quarterly and annual salary reports, using the HCPF claiming system. Collect data and documentation to support annual program audits. [Monthly, 30%] Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%] MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience. Accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking/loan servicing, or bookkeeping experience. Strong written and oral communication skills. Intermediate Excel and Word skills. Intermediate knowledge of accounting (e.g., posting, account reconciliation, account analysis). Intermediate written and oral communication skills. Ability to complete specified training to stay current with HCPF Medicaid SHS requirements. Ability to be flexible and adjust to changing priorities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others. Excellent attention to detail. Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire. REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired. N/A PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or equivalent work experience. Experience with Oracle. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
