Description
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 2 (Clinical Informatics Specialist) to support the planning, implementation, and oversight of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems across a state-operated Developmental Center. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with federal and state Medicaid documentation requirements, improving EHR workflows, and enhancing the quality of clinical data management. What will you do? As the Clinical Informatics Specialist at DODD, you will: · Assist in planning, organizing, and managing clinical aspects of agency-wide EHR implementation (e.g., PointClickCare), including integration with daily clinical operations. · Develop understanding of EHR functionality, interfacing, reporting, and integration; identify & resolve workflow or data discrepancies. · Provide technical support and troubleshooting to clinical teams; conduct audits & site visits to monitor compliance with state and federal requirements. · Lead clinical quality assurance projects related to EHR functionality and CMS reporting (e.g., Meaningful Use or successor programs). · Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical content teams (physicians, nurses, pharmacists) to enhance EHR functionality. · Identify training needs and deliver in-service education to staff on documentation standards and system enhancements. · Oversee Medicaid/Medicare billing documentation, coding accuracy, and develop documentation standards that meet audit expectations. · Work closely with IT, Training, and Data Administration teams to ensure systems support accurate, compliant, and high-quality care delivery. .
