Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and dependable Medical AR Analyst to join our client’s team. This role is critical in supporting the financial health of their practices by ensuring accurate accounts receivable processes and payer interaction. You’ll work directly with government and commercial payers to ensure claims are paid accurately and timely, and that denials are appropriately appealed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2+ years of physician practice billing experience
  • Strong understanding of EOBs, remittance processes, and insurance cycles
  • Hands-on experience with insurance/vendor portals
  • Proficiency with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EMR systems
  • Ability to draft and submit appeals with supporting documentation
  • Familiarity with payer policies and medical necessity documentation

    Pay: $23.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) for accuracy
  • Navigate payer portals (e.g., UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Cigna, etc.)
  • Identify underpayments or denials and determine appropriate next steps
  • Draft appeals and submit supporting medical documentation as needed
  • Interpret payer policies and remittance advice
  • Make appropriate billing adjustments based on policy and payer guidance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient AR operations
