· At a minimum, 2-years’ experience working in a medical office, preferably at a OBGYN clinic
· Minimum 2-year experience using EMR
· Equivalent education and/or 2+years working as a medical office assistant to a surgical specialist

· Keeps patient appointment on schedule by ensuring smooth check in/check out process
· Maintains electronic medical records to date
· Answers patient calls and promptly returns messages
· Maintains good rapport with patients and all physicians
· Distributes mail, assigns documents, and keeps on top of daily phone calls and faxes
· Updates patient records as needed
· Validates OHIP coverage and works with associated systems
· Schedule appointment’s and manage referrals
· Prepare patient chart prior to the visit
· Track and triage incoming referrals
· Ensure ordered tests were completed and results are in patient’s chart
