Job Description: Under the direction of the Country Medical Director, the Medical Advisor acts as the first point of contact for any medical activity related to her/his product/ area of responsibility including undertaking clinical trial, scientific liaison, medical information and other project activities in accordance with Ipsen SOPs and International Codes of Practice eg GCP, GPP and GPvP. The MSL provides non-promotional, high level scientific, medical and technical support to Ipsen’s external (Health Care Professional) and internal customers at office or field levels, he/she also provides significant cross-functional medical support including to local commercial and market access. Main Responsibilities & Tasks General Provision of scientific and medical expertise for the products / the indications. Communicating the relevant medical-scientific content of the products/indications, taking into account the national strategy Management, implementation and successful realization of the medical-scientific activities in the assigned area, taking into account the national strategy Compliance with laws, regulations, codes and Ipsen internal SOPs Responsible for proper planning and adherence to the allocated budget in coordination with the Head of Therapeutic Area Medical Presentation/ Information/ Education Training of internal stakeholders on medical, indication and product-specific content Proactive and reactive provision of relevant medical, indication and product-specific information for the relevant stakeholders (e.g. office and field staff, fire team, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.) Planning, designing and conducting medical education events for doctors, nurses, etc. (e.g. advisory boards, round table meetings) Creation, communication and implementation of a national strategic publication plan in coordination with the global publication strategy Build and maintain strong, sustainable partnerships with relevant partners (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.) and the Key Opinion Leader network Commitments in specialist societies etc. to establish and maintain a medically scientific Scientifically sound representation of the company at national and international congresses, symposiums, investigator meetings and similar events Medical Advice Advising internal stakeholders on product-specific and other medical issues Timely response to external product-specific and/or indication-specific inquiries (in-label and off-label) in compliance with the relevant SOPs and local communication regulations Document corresponding medical information tracking tools (eg, MISTRAL) Preparation of medical statements and drug information Supporting PV and complaint management to comply with regulatory timelines and reporting requirements Approval of advertising material and medical information material analogous to the applicable SOPs and the corresponding legal regulations and in agreement with the local medical director /local medical information manager Medical Development Discussing, planning, initiating and implementing study projects, taking into account the brand team strategy, taking into account the timelines and agreed budgets Proper and timely approval of local study concepts (e.g. VISION Tracker) Cooperation with the Clinical Operations Team in international and national studies Supporting the Clinical Operations Team and keeping track of the progress of the local and international studies, but also of ISS within the scope of the contractually regulated possibilities Leadership Establishment, management, coaching, development of the Medical Team Clear objectives and KPIs, regular appraisal interviews At least 50% of working days of this position is expected for the interactions with HCPs Co-development and assurance of Medical Excellence Creation of an individual development plan for each employee Active management of underperformance Experience / Qualifications / Knowledge Qualification: Biomedical, scientific university education, ideally at postgraduate level, e.g. B. MSc, PhD, MD, PharmD Medical/paramedical practice or research career (hospital and/or hospital-related, university research, pharmaceutical industry research or medical affairs) Experience: Experience in Oncology and/or Pediatric Endocrinology is preferred Experience in working with multiple internal and external stakeholders At least three years of proven experience and successful track record as an MSL or Medical Department Professional Knowledge: Knowledge of data analysis and statistics for the purpose of understanding clinical trial results and computer skills Up-to-date knowledge of the legal, regulatory and compliance rules and policies relevant to how the industry interacts with healthcare professionals Languages: Expert/fluent communicator in local language (Korean) and excellent knowledge of written and spoken scientific English #LI-Hybrid #LI-CT1 Thank you for considering Ipsen as an employer of choice.
