ABBVIE SCANDINAVIA IS LOOKING FOR A MEDICAL ADVISOR IN NEUROSCIENCE/THERAPEUTIC NEUROTOXINS (TNT)

We are looking for a Medical Advisor who will work with our portfolio in Neuroscience, with primary focus on therapeutic neurotoxins. The candidate will represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned product(s) and indication(s)post-stroke spasticity, cervical dystonia, and more).
This position is a Scandinavian role. Office location: Stockholm, Copenhagen or Oslo.
This is an externally focused role and ability to travel is expected.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced university degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Science or equivalent (e.g. MD, PhD, MSc, PharmD, etc). Research experience is considered as an advantage.
  • Experience within the field of therapeutic toxins, neuroscience, and/or rehabilitation medicine (research or clinical practice) will be considered as an advantage.
  • Previous Medical Affairs/Pharma industry experience is not required but will be considered as an advantage.
  • Fluency in written and oral English as well as in one Scandinavian language is required.
  • Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with experts and academic centers; attend scientific congresses, arrange advisory groups, discussion forums and symposia.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and medical education to healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare scientific/medical information on request.
  • Review and approval of advertising material. Ensure that medical/scientific content is correct and in accordance with regulations and internal guidelines.
  • Be a medical/scientific expert in the cross-functional Brand Team, and provide medical/scientific input to medical affairs strategies, marketing strategy and commercial initiatives across Scandinavia.
  • Contribute to evidence generation by identifying evidence gaps and by initiating, supervising, and following up clinical trials and medical projects (internal and external collaborations), e.g. Phase IV, RWE, observational, registry and epidemiological studies.
