Accountabilities Conduct scientific exchange and collect customer insights: - Stay up-to-date in therapeutic area knowledge through active monitoring of scientific literature, congress attendance, and interactions with Key External Experts. - Lead pre-launch medical strategy and initiatives to address current gaps. - Build relationships with experts for advocacy development. - Respond to unsolicited requests for information about unapproved AstraZeneca products or uses. - Continuously improve impactful communication skills. - Interact with other Medical Advisors/MSLs to exchange best practices. Deliver Key medical leadership into the brand strategy: - Work strategically with Marketing and Market Access Departments to provide key input into local operational brand strategy. - Serve as a core member of the cross-functional brand team. - Develop and execute medical affairs projects according to budget and timelines. - Coach and support MSLs to ensure development and execution of MSL Action Plans. Maintain top-notch robust scientific and medical expertise: - Keep track of relevant scientific peer-reviewed literature. - Attend international and national scientific and medical congresses. - Engage with Key External Experts in the therapeutic area. - Support Clinical operations in site selection. Manage scientific partnerships with Key External Experts: - Manage Externally Sponsored Research. - Organize and lead meetings with Key External Experts to gain input on data sets or projects. Be compliant: - Successfully complete all training requirements. - Comply with all external regulations and internal policies. Essential Skills/Experience - Medical or Pharmacist Degree or scientific degree with PhD - Significant experience with searching, handling, assimilating, synthesizing, reporting, and presenting scientific data in the healthcare sector - National mobility and flexibility - Excellent relational and communication skills - Initiative-taking and proactive while conscious of compliance - Presentation skills - Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams - Knowledge of therapeutic area or ability to acquire this knowledge rapidly - Medical integrity and ethical balance - Fluent knowledge of Hebrew and English (verbal and written) - Two years experience in the pharmaceutical industry (medical role) Desirable Skills/Experience - Experience in pharmaceutical medical and marketing processes - Experience in moderation of meetings with healthcare professionals - Business Acumen - Proven Project management skills - Budget management experience - Ability to lead a team - Team player attitude At AstraZeneca, we blend medical expertise with commercial acumen to pioneer innovative solutions that better serve our patients.
