Job Summary Ensure the successful launch and provision of an innovative medicine in the Japanese market through an efficient and effective global supply chain by collaborating with internal business units and external partners. Lead the Medical Affairs activities to support a unique and innovative neonatal nutritional product in the Japanese market. Key Responsibilities: Medical Affairs strategy and execution for an innovative neonatal nutritional product. Lead the continuous development of the strategic medical plan to maximize scientific value of assigned product collaborating proactively with external partner and internal working groups. Work with external partner and internal stakeholders, especially the Commercial team to lead the continuous development of the plan for engagement with healthcare professionals, parent and patient groups ahead of the launch. Identify, develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with key medical experts. Collaborate with external partner, physicians and drive Medical Affairs initiatives including publications, investigator sponsored research (IIR), advisory boards, medical education opportunities, and training development programs. Provide medical and scientific input into the planning and execution of advisory boards and work with physician experts to review speaker presentations and provide medical references where requested. Support commercial activities including development of internal training materials to ensure a medical scientific perspective. Conduct landscape mapping activities to develop a deep understanding of current patient care in target therapeutical areas. Attend and support at International and local congresses / symposia (if needed or required by the needs of the business). Develop and manage a high-performing, collaborative Medical Affairs team for the product that works always in line with Clinigen and the partner’s values and within Japan regulatory requirements. Demonstrate strong leadership over all medical activities for the product and proactive involvement in relevant cross-functional activities and matters. Manage the relationship with external partner in areas related to the Medical Affairs, Medical Education, Clinical Operations, and Training teams. Collaborate with the Commercial and other relevant teams. MUST HAVE/BE Medical, PhD, or master’s degree in Life Sciences, or equivalent knowledge in Pharma or Biotech industry Experience working in the Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry or NICU (Previous experience and qualification as a NICU nurse and/or dietitian, Pharmacist, or previous medical affairs experience) Experience in establishing relationships with senior healthcare professionals. Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to collaborate effectively on projects with mutually beneficial outcomes. Strong English and cross-cultural skills – ability and flexibility to communicate efficiently with US/Global partner team. Ability to travel domestically and internationally NICE TO HAVE/BE Experience in Neonatology and/or Pediatrics therapeutical areas, knowledge of NICU and / or nutrition (preferred) Competitive salary package based on experience/skills Hybrid work style
