THE CHINESE MEDICINE HOSPITAL OF HONG KONG The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) stands as a flagship Chinese medicine (CM) institution dedicated to advancing Chinese medicine in Hong Kong and is expected to commence operation in phases at the end of 2025. Established through a public-private partnership, the hospital is being constructed by the government, with HKBU appointed as the contractor in June 2021 through a tendering process. Subsequently, HKBU registered “HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited” as the operator in accordance with the requirements of the service deed, which is responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of CMHHK. A hallmark of CMHHK is its integrated approach, blending Chinese and Western medicine to provide professional patient care. CMHHK will actively engage in various interactions and collaborate with the industry to promote the development of Chinese medicine across Hong Kong, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and international institutions. Medical Affairs Manager (25260357) Reporting to the Hospital Chief Executive, the position is responsible for providing excellent experiences for Chinese Medicine Practitioners (CMPs), Western Medicine (WM) Doctors and any other related clinical staff (non-employee) in the facilitation of their credentialing, privileges applications, regular duties, problem solving, new service development, learning and education as well as incident management in a timely fashion and subsequently, to bring along organisational growth. Responsibilities: Oversee CMPs and WM Doctors credentialing, privileges applications, regular duties, learning and education and incident management, etc.; Perform appointment contract liaison including contract renewal for sessional / visiting / honorary engagements; Participate in clinical staff (non-employee) package design, including but not restricted to CMPs and WM Doctors; Contribute to the ERP system, the set-up of infrastructure for managing non-employee clinical staff; Be in charge of performance review of clinical staff (non-employee) as well as liaison on teaching, training and development; Be responsible for enquiries and issues raised by hospital management and / or accredited CMPs, WM Doctors and other members on matters related to hospital services; Support for CMPs and WM Doctors leave application & approval and manage logistics for replacement when any doctor is absent during scheduled roster; Support for CMPs and WM Doctors outside work application and approval; Monthly operations analysis and recommendations; Make sure the relevant accreditation standards are observed and executed; Manage shift scheduling, rostering and leave of medical staff; Maintain data inventory pertaining of accredited CMPs, WM Doctors and other members of the medical staff organisation; Oversee the team’s operation and hold reporting staff accountable for their key performance indicators; and Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department or his/her delegates. Requirements: A degree in Nursing, Medicine, or Medical Sciences is preferred; At least 5 years of work experience in Medical Affairs, or relevant in a hospital setting; Minimum 2 years of prior managerial experience; Good working knowledge of hospital management, medical affairs, hospital operations, public affairs, etc; Good experience in physician credentialing; Proficiency in MS office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); Work knowledge of system management, document management and/or credentialing system is preferred; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and Fluent in verbal and written English and Chinese. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in December 2025. Subject to performance and the decision of the CMHHK, the offer of further appointment, if any, will be made by the CMHHK. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
