Description Florida Physician Specialists has an immediate opening for a Medical Appointment Scheduler/Operators in our McIver Clinic division, located on Lomax Street in Jacksonville, FL. If you are a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic person, we want to hear from you! The Medical Appointment Scheduler/Operator will be responsible for answering the phone and working with patients in person to schedule medical appointments, in addition to directing patient calls and taking messages using a multi-line telephone system. This is a fast paced, busy urology practice with over 13 providers and 5 locations. These are full time positions with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K retirement plan. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Essential Functions: Answer high volume incoming calls to coordinate and schedule patient appointments Greet incoming patients and schedule or reschedule appointments Collect patient personal data and insurance information Make calls to reschedule appointments when necessary Answer questions and provide other information as requested Direct calls to other departments and relay necessary messages to staff. Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
