Responsibilities: Greet patients, prepare them for examinations, and assist in obtaining their medical history. Conduct preliminary hearing tests and screenings as directed by the audiologist. Assist in hearing aid fittings, adjustments, and maintenance. Provide patient education on hearing conservation and the proper use and care of hearing aids. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment. Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and manage patient records and files. Handle phone calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate audiologist or department. Assist with billing, insurance verification, and reimbursement processes. Manage inventory of audiology supplies and order replacements as needed. Assist audiologists during various audiological evaluations and assessments. Perform basic audiometric testing, including pure-tone audiometry and speech audiometry. Conduct impedance testing and otoacoustic emissions testing. Help with vestibular testing as required. Adhere to all relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and safety standards. Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection at all times. Any other work-related task that may come up from special project as directed by managers. Travel Requirements: This position involves frequent travel to various healthcare facilities and client locations. The purpose of travel includes conducting on-site assessments, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and providing support in different clinical settings. Should be adaptable to changing schedules, possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance coverage, and be willing to work flexible hours.
