Job Details Job Location: Pima - Vascular Suite - Tucson, AZ 85718 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Other Positions US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our vascular team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ to assist Provider(s) in daily operations of his/her clinic and patient care. Responsibilities: Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information of patients’ charts. Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment Assists with wound care Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests Screens telephone calls for physicians Returns patient phone calls Calls in patient prescriptions Schedule hospital and outpatient surgeries Answers triage calls Travel required Other related duties may be assigned Requirements: Completion of a Medical Assistant program Cardiac Experience preferred but not required Knowledge in medical terminology About Tucson, AZ: Tucson offers stunning desert landscapes, mountain views, and over 300 days of sunshine.
