Description Position Overview Directly responsible for administrative and non-administrative functions in delivering care to patients during the rooming process. Coordinating and applying durable medical equipment (DME). Essential Functions Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers through prompt response and courteous communication. Communicates effectively with all levels - patients, co-workers, supervisors and physicians, both verbally and in writing using the AIDET framework. Assist and coordinate patient/clinic flow. Responsible for rooming patients, taking Height and Weight, ordering x-rays Pulls reports/films for test appointments Facilitate patient’s care by completing all entry of patient information into the chart by the end of the day. Other: Durable Medical Equipment Administration Anticipate ways to improve patient care and experience. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Knowledge/Skills Abilities Required High School Diploma or GED with Medical Assistant Certification and 2 years medical office experience. Knowledge of EHR system. Type at least 40 WPM. Excellent communication skills. In depth knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures as well as treatment modalities. Must be able to spell accurately. Strong organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
