Description Job Summary: As a vital member of our Clinical Care Team, the Allergy/Immunology Medical Assistant (AI MA) plays a key role in supporting both direct and indirect patient care. This position combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure optimal patient outcomes, exceptional customer service, and a professional environment for patients and staff. Education & Experience Requirements: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program (MA, RMA, CMA required) 1–2 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred Prior experience in Allergy and/or Immunology strongly preferred Current BLS and CPR certification preferred Primary Responsibilities: Schedule patient appointments and prepare charts for upcoming visits Interview patients to gather medical history and measure vital signs, height, and weight Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with room turnover Document patient information, vital statistics, and test results in medical records Administer medications and perform testing as directed by the physician Handle patient phone calls, prescription refills, and prior authorizations for medications and biologics Provide patient education under provider guidance Maintain clean and well-stocked treatment rooms and sterilize instruments Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain a safe working environment Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and protect patient privacy Monitor inventory and order medical and office supplies as needed Participate in ongoing training and professional development
