Medical Assistant at Tāmaki Health  Full Time | Auckland  We’re looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team and support the smooth day-to-day running of our clinics. This role offers NZREX-qualified doctors a valuable opportunity to build practical experience in New Zealand, working alongside experienced GPs and gaining exposure to day-to-day clinical workflows, all while being backed by Tāmaki Health's strong clinical network and support systems.    What the role involves You’ll work alongside GPs and nurses, helping manage the behind-the-scenes clinical workload so patient care runs seamlessly.  Most of your time will be spent: * Reviewing and processing patient results * Communicating results to patients clearly and appropriately * Managing recalls, follow-ups, and screening entries * Sorting and prioritising incoming clinical correspondence * Escalating anything that sits outside your scope   You’ll also support with: * Summarising patient notes and keeping records accurate * Maintaining clinical data and completing required documentation * Keeping on top of systems and processes that support the clinic     What we’re looking for You don’t need to have done this exact role before, but you’ll bring: * An overseas medical degree and NZREX completed * Strong attention to detail and good organisation * Confidence working across systems and managing tasks independently * Clear, professional communication * A practical, team-focused approach   What you can expect * An in-depth induction to ensure you're well equipped to do your role  * Ongoing support from senior clinicians and the wider support network * A better understanding of how primary care works in New Zealand  * A steady, well-defined role where requirements are clear   This is a clinical administration role, therefore prescribing and independent clinical decision-making are not required.
