Medical Assistants are responsible for delivering excellent, high-touch, primary care, and coordinating a patient centered care experience. The Medical Assistant role requires high levels of flexibility, energy, attention to detail, and problem-solving. Medical Assistants will work closely and collaboratively with their teammates to greet and room RCCHC patients. S/he will be expected to assist in assessing patient’s health conditions, including performing routine diagnostic testing during appointments. The Certified Medical Assistant must be able to maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of RCCHC personnel and patients. Minimum Qualifications * 1+ years in Medical Assistant role * Excellent organizational, leadership, verbal and written communication skills * Must be able to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities in order to meet deadlines Education: * High school diploma/GED required Experience: * Experience in primary care providing care for all patient populations preferred Certification(s)/Licensure: * Medical Assistant credential, certification or registration required * BLS certification required Knowledge: * Knowledge and thorough understanding of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s) in regard to the Federal 330 Public Health Service Act * Knowledge of thorough understanding of the 340B program * Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
