Description Indiana Care Network is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA will assist healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care by performing administrative and clinical tasks. You will play a key role in supporting patient care management, maintaining smooth clinic operations, and fostering a positive experience for our patients. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments. Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and health concerns. Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked. Perform administrative duties including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing insurance forms. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers. Perform basic laboratory tests, such as drawing blood, collecting specimens, and performing EKGs. Educate patients on medication usage, lifestyle changes, and preventive healthcare measures. Handle medical instruments and assist during minor surgeries or procedures. Ensure proper handling and maintenance of medical records and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards throughout the clinic. Qualifications: Medical Assistant certification preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a clinical setting (preferred). Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and healthcare administration. Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. CPR and First Aid certification (preferred). Key Competencies: Empathy and patient-centered care. Ability to work both independently and as part of a healthcare team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
