This is a remote position. Medical Assistant Scope: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Mountain with an hour unpaid break Remote work arrangement Supporting a single psychiatry/mental health practice Working with multiple healthcare platforms and scheduling systems Handling administrative tasks that directly impact patient care and practice efficiency Responsibilities: Take incoming phone calls and manage patient communications Schedule patient appointments across multiple booking platforms Respond to emails and handle patient correspondence Ensure all required paperwork is completed before patient appointments Complete various forms including school forms and FMLA documentation Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits Manage patient information across multiple platforms including Headway and ZocDoc Confirm patient payment methods and insurance status accuracy Coordinate administrative tasks to support seamless patient care Requirements: Experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in mental health or psychiatry settings Proficiency with healthcare scheduling systems and patient management platforms Knowledge of insurance verification processes and healthcare billing Strong communication skills for patient interactions Attention to detail for form completion and documentation Ability to multitask and manage administrative workflows efficiently Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality requirements ​ Independent Contractor Perks: HMO Coverage for eligible locations Permanent work-from-home Immediate hiring Steady freelance job ZR_28649_JOB
