Description Medical Assistant Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you will support medical providers, care managers, and other staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient experiences. This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative environment committed to improving community health and providing compassionate care. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare examination rooms for patient visits by turning on instruments, activating computer systems, lighting, and ensuring cleanliness and proper stock of supplies. - Assist medical providers during patient examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, recording patient histories, and preparing necessary documentation. - Support care coordination efforts by facilitating patient flow within the clinic and ensuring timely and efficient service delivery. - Provide basic nursing care within the scope of certification, registration, or educational provisions, adhering to agency protocols. - Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient interactions and care provided. - Ensure infection control standards are followed and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. - Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient check-in/out, and managing medical supplies. Skills and Qualifications: - Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred. - Prior experience in a clinical setting, preferably in primary care or outpatient clinics. - Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control protocols. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. - Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
