Description Medical Assistant Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary care to our patients. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you will support medical providers, care managers, and other staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive clinical experience. This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative, patient-centered environment committed to improving community health. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare examination rooms for patient visits by turning on instruments, computer systems, lights, and ensuring cleanliness and proper stock of supplies. - Assist medical providers during patient examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, recording patient histories, and preparing necessary documentation. - Support care coordination efforts by facilitating communication between patients and healthcare team members. - Administer basic nursing care within the scope of certification and agency protocols. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and clinical activities. - Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols within the clinic environment. - Facilitate patient flow by managing appointment schedules and assisting with patient check-in and check-out processes. - Perform clerical duties such as updating patient records, scheduling follow-up appointments, and managing correspondence as needed. Skills and Qualifications: - Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent). - Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in primary care or outpatient clinics. - Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control standards. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor. - Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems. - Ability to follow established protocols and procedures accurately.
