Are you passionate about helping kids be their best selves? UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Limited Part-Time Medical Assistant to support the office in Pittsburgh. Weekend and evening availability required to support the hours of operation. Clinic Hours: 1p-9p Mon-Fri 9a-9p Sat-Sun Rate and Title will be determined based on education and experience. Responsibilities: Patient Care: Perform labs, and assist physicians with procedures. Document patient information and relay instructions. Clinic Operations: Prepare and clean patient rooms, manage inventory, and ensure infection control. Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, verify insurance, manage charts, and handle front office duties. Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and PA Department of Health regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality. Support: Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and collecting specimens. Answer calls and provide patient education. Medication Administration: Administer injectable medication and vaccines under physician supervision. High school diploma or equivalent. Prior pediatric office experience strongly preferred. Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
