POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Medical Assistant at Clinique Novomed, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, working closely with family doctors and specialists to assist in gathering patient history and vital signs. This position is great experience for those looking to bolster their CVs to get into a competitive nursing school, medical school, physical therapy program, dental school. Also great for international medical graduates (IMGs) attempting to get into a North American medical residency program.
Five of our prevsiously employed medical assistants have matched to Canadian residency programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Quick typing skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow protocols and guidelines effectively.
  • Background in health sciences helpful, but not a requirement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Language: French and English a must, Greek/Punjabi/Hindi/Urdu an asset,

    Pay: $16.10-$18.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with doctors to obtain detailed patient histories using predetermined templates.
  • Take accurate vital signs and record them in the patient’s medical record.
  • Utilize excellent computer skills and typing speed to efficiently input patient information.
  • Ask pointed questions following predetermined templates to ensure comprehensive medical history collection.
  • Adhere to established protocols and guidelines during patient interactions.
  • Ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and prepared for patient examinations.
