OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our oral surgery team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring a high level of patient care. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in an outpatient fast-paced setting. The Medical Assistant will assist with various clinical tasks, patient interactions, and administrative duties.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • MUST be dependable and teachable. Willing to teach the right candidate, but will require a driven and motivated person
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are necessary for maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgery rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
  • Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
  • Administer basic life support as needed and assist in emergency situations.
  • May involve patient scheduling, including follow-up appointments.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance.
  • Assist with X-ray procedures as required by the healthcare provider.
  • Will assist with monitoring patients during sedations and must have BLS certification.
