```html MEDICAL ASSISTANT - NIGHT SHIFT (7AM - 7PM) LOCATION: PEARLAND, TX 77584 POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at a freestanding emergency room in Pearland, TX. This is a night shift position (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) that plays a vital role in supporting clinical and administrative operations during overnight hours. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Verify patient insurance information accurately and efficiently. * Collect and process laboratory specimens as directed by clinical staff. * Perform various reception duties including patient check-in and check-out. * Assist clinical staff with patient care and preparation as needed. * Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. * Ensure proper documentation and data entry into electronic medical records (EMR) systems. * Coordinate communication between patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers. * Support the emergency room team to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow during night hours. QUALIFICATIONS * Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred. * Previous experience working in a freestanding emergency room or urgent care setting is highly desirable. * Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes and laboratory procedures. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shift hours.
