MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Dundas Eye Physicians & Surgeons is a busy ophthalmology clinic shared between 2 physicians. We are currently seeking an medical assistant that is ambitious, energetic, and hardworking. Only selected candidates will be contacted for interview.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Proficient in English

• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task and follow steps and procedures as directed.
• Flexibility to take on new tasks and learn new skills as required
• The ability to communicate within the office and with patients in a pleasant, friendly manner overall.

• Has worked in an environment that is influenced by goals and targets
• Identify malfunctions in office equipment and take initiative to troubleshoot or escalate as required
• Computer knowledge: EMR, Email, Internet, Microsoft Word

  Pay: $18.50-$19.00 per hour

Experience:

• Greeting patients and checking patients in/out
• Use of medical EMR (specifically Accuro)
• Knowledge OCT and Visual Field machines an asset
• Perform some front desk duties (faxes, answer phones, process referrals) when applicable
