We are Looking for: Someone who is an experienced Medical Assistant for our ENT medical practice. The medical assistant should perform a supportive role in delivering comprehensive care to the patient that is safe, effective, and efficient. Responsibilities: Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service Ensure the referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient comes in Maintain patient records and ensure that they are accurate and up to date Count cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms. Once close is completed, sign off on EBO report and cash reconciliation Handle patient complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Follow all infection control and HIPAA guidelines Performs related duties as required.
