Description Medical Assistant - Gastroenterology Practice Join a dynamic and busy gastroenterology practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our teams in Wethersfield, Enfield, and South Windsor. This position offers a 4 day work week, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities: Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready Collect patient medical histories and document accurately in electronic health records Take vital signs and perform basic clinical tasks as directed Provide patient education and instructions as needed Schedule appointments and follow-up visits Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas Adhere to all safety, privacy, and confidentiality protocols We foster a collaborative and supportive work environment committed to professional growth and excellent patient care. Requirements Ability to travel to our Enfield, South Windsor, and Wethersfield office locations High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Compassionate, patient-focused attitude
