This is a benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Hours will vary as needed. No weekends or holidays. What you'll do: Rooming patients Checking vitals Assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Predominantly back-office responsibilities but is expected to help with front-office duties on an as-needed basis Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the provider's practice Relaying instructions from the provider to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the provider Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry Acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC Basic registration and updating of demographics Other duties assigned as needed #LI-EE1 Required Qualifications: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience working as Medical Assistant 1 year of experience in specific specialty
Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. They will also document patient concerns and care provided in the electronic medical record and assist with scheduling appointments.
