Summary: Humanitary Medical Center is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers by ensuring smooth and efficient clinical operations. Responsibilities: * Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical histories, and recording symptoms. * Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures by handling instruments and supplies. * Manage patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations. * Schedule patient appointments, follow up on referrals, and coordinate communication between patients and medical staff. * Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and maintain clinical equipment and supplies. * All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2+ years of experience within the healthcare medical center industry. * Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program. * Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred. * Basic life support (BLS) certification. * Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. preferably MD Vita. * Previous experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a primary care or community health environment. * Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures. * Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, to better serve the local community.
